ONGC Scholarship 2023 to Meritorious Students for SC/ST/OBC/General Category: ONGC is the nation’s Oil and Gas Company that is showing its impact on India’s economy and society. ONGC India is providing a scholarship scheme for students belonging to SC/ST, OBC, and General Categories who are pursuing their first year of Engineering, MBA, MBBS, and Master in Geology/Geophysics program. The scheme is applicable for students pursuing full-time regular courses by AICTE/ UGC/ MCI/ Association of Indian Universities/State Education Boards/State Government/Central Government. The scholarship aims to provide financial support for meritorious a student who belongs to the economically weaker section category.

ONGC Scholarship to meritorious SC/ST Students Category 2021-2022:

Eligible students: 1000

Scholarship Worth: 48,000/- per annum

Nationality: Indian

Academic qualification: 1st year of Graduate Engineering or MBBS courses or 1st year of Master’s degree in Geoscience or MBA.

Percentile: Should have a minimum of 60% marks in class 12 for the Engineering/MBBS course and a minimum of 60% marks in graduation for PG courses in Geoscience/MBA.

Gross annual family income: Family income has to be less than 4.5 Lakhs per annum from all other sources.

Age limit: Not be more than 30 years of age as of 1st January 2021

Course type: Regular full-time course

ONGC Scholarship to meritorious OBC Students Category 2021-2022:

Eligible students: 500

Scholarship Worth: 48,000/- per annum

Nationality: Indian

Academic qualification: 1st year of Graduate Engineering or MBBS courses or 1st year of Master’s degree in Geophysics/Geoscience or MBA.

Percentile: Should have a minimum of 60% marks in the 12th class for the MBBS/ Engineering course and 60% minimum marks in graduation for PG courses in Geology/MBA/ Geophysics.

Gross annual family income: Income should be less than INR 2 Lakhs per annum from all sources.

Age limit: Not be more than 30 years of age as of 1st January 2021

Course type: Regular full-time course

Eligible students: 500

Scholarship Worth: 48,000/- per annum

Nationality: Indian

Academic qualification: 1st year of Graduate Engineering or MBBS courses or 1st year of Master’s degree in Geology/Geophysics or MBA.

Percentile: Should have 60% minimum marks in class 12 for the MBBS/ Engineering course and minimum 60% marks in PG graduation courses in Geology/Geophysics/MBA.

Gross annual family income: Income should be less than INR 2 Lakhs per annum from all sources.

Age limit: Not be more than 30 years of age as of 1st January 2021

The application process for the ONGC scholarship:

The students after checking the eligibility conditions can follow the below steps given below.

  • Visit the ONGC scholarship official website ongcscholar.org
  • Select the option “Apply Scholarship” that is present on the right top of the page.
  • Choose the related category and click on the “Apply” option.
  • Then fill in the details of “Basic Information, Address, Qualification, Financial Assistance, Bank details, and necessary documents to be uploaded”.
  • Click on the “Submit” option for completing the application process.
  • Necessary documents to be uploaded to Scholarship ONGC:
  • Copy of Caste Certificate in Hindi/English.
  • Copy of Class 10 Mark sheet/ Birth Certificate as proof of age.
  • Copy of Class 12-mark sheet in case of Engineering/MBBS students.
  • Certified copy of the annual income certificate of the family in Hindi/English language.
  • Copy of consolidated Graduation mark sheet in case of MBA/Masters in Geology/Geophysics students.
  • Bank details of the applicant in the ECS form attested by the bank as prescribed.
  • Copy of College/Institution Id.
  • Copy of undertaking.
  • Copy of Admission Receipt Colleges/Institution.
  • Copy of PAN card or the tentative date for submission of PAN card copy (in case it is not available.

Rules applicable to the ONGC Scholarship:

  • The girl students are provided 50% of the reservation.
  • The scholarship will be paid on yearly basis after the completion of the academic year.
  • The scholarship amount will be directly credited to the student’s account.
  • Once the scholarship gets started, it will be completed till the end of the course completion.
  • The scholarship gets discontinued if the candidates are not promoted to the next year.
  • To further continue the scheme of scholarship, the applicants should renew their application to proceed to the next stage.
  • If the students apply for any other scholarship, the running scholarship will be cancelled and the candidate has to make a refund of the scholarship amount for the ONGC foundation.
  • Zone-wise and category-wise seats are allotted to the eligible students.

The students belonging to BPL (Below the poverty line) can check for the conditions, apply to the scheme, and can attain the scholarship. The students can use this golden opportunity for their next higher studies to get settled well in their life.
